Obtaining PSF Software Publications
There are a three ways to obtain PSF software titles:
- Request a donation in the community forums. If we have the funds available we will simply ship the items you would like. We do require donations to ship directly to the library.
- You can purchase PSF titles directly from the PSF Titles category at On-Disk.com.
- You can download a donation kit and create you own "Shelf Ready" PSF titles to distribute yourself.
All PSF software titles are available in the PSF Titles category at On-Disk.com.
Each title also has a Donation Kit version which is designed to allow anyone more technologically inclined to create and distribute PSF Titles. Donation Kits may be freely downloaded, or obtained on a disc. The Buildable kits consist of a CD or DVD containing:
- printable cover inserts for standard size DVD cases in PNG, PDF, and SVG Formats.
- PNG, PDF, and SVG images for printing PSF disc labels.
- a ready to burn ISO disc image. (Downloadable kits contain the URL(s) of the actual disc content from the developers website.)
- an MD5 checksum to insure the data disc arrives without damage. (Disc version only. When downloading, checksums are normally available from the product developers download sites.)
- basic instructions and tips to insure a quality end product.
Why On-Disk.com? Webpath Technologies oversees the Public Software Foundation, and owns and operates On-Disk.com. By using the unique On-Disk.com facilities and development models we can insure the quality of the software we provide, as well as the quality of the discs and packaging. This inner relationship also gives us the funding needed to operate the Public Software Foundation, ensuring the continuing availability of public software within public lending institutions.
