Resources

Say "good bye" to Tech Support as you know it and "Hello" to personal help and self-discovery.

In this section we've made it as easy as possible to get help with, or finding more information about PSF software.

Tech Support

When you think of calling the help desk, what feelings does that bring up?

The main reason people dislike current commercial tech support is because sometimes it doesn't feel like it's all that helpful.

We call the toll-free number and wait on hold for longer than we'd like. When we finally get through the Tech walks us through until we're back in business.

At best the issue is resolved on the first call. At worst... Well it can get really bad.

Getting help with Open Licensed Software

It can be a bit different than what you may be use to. We like to think it's better.

Most open source software projects will have online documentation, a Wiki, User Forums, and/or IRC Chat. We've included a link to the right place to go with each title listed in this resources section.

While you may have to do a little reading or wait for a reply to a forum post, most of the time replies are faster than what you'd get if you were on hold.

Another positive aspect of this type of support is that your questions can be reviewed by more than one person. This gives you the opportunity to get the very best information.

You may also have local resources should you need someone to talk with. Linux User Groups, Open Source Societies and even local PSF volunteers are out there.

Let your fingers do the walking using your favorite search engine, or pop over to our own forum and ask. We'll be happy to help you.
