Volunteer Crew Chiefs
Position Definition:
Overview: This volunteer job is a regional management position with the PSF. You will be the main point of contact for the PSF, Libraries and volunteers in your area.
In addition to the responsibilities listed below, your primary task is to lead in such a way that the Public Software Foundation is represented in the best light wile preserving the autonomy of the local group. (translation - do what you like in your area as long as it fits within the PSF mission and is a positive for the organization as a whole.)
Responsibilities :
- Serve as a local reference source for information and education about the PSF.
- Nurture relationships with Libraries, Supporters and Users of publicly licensed software.
- Implement programs to support the educational needs of Library staff, and users of publicly licensed software.
- Oversee the day to day operations of volunteers in your assigned area.
- Participate in selection and training of new Crew Chiefs
- Active participation in PSF forums to communicate local activities and to collaborate with other Crew Chiefs and volunteers.
